Shockadin is extremely viable right now outside of PvE and possibly in it too (yet to try. It's not a full DPS or full healer, but it provides almost the same healing output as holy whilst doing much more DPS. I don't see why it wouldn't be in PvE. It'll only be held back by bigot jerks who can't tolerate unusual builds.

Woah Sar, -you're- writing that guide? I've been following it ever since I started my new Cataclysm Paladin alt! I can't say I've done much PvP yet, but the new offensive talents on Holy and the Exorcism revamp sure are kicking some serious ass! Good job on the guide, and keep it up. Shockadins were a forced to be reckoned with in TBC, I pray they stand strong once again!
As a low level shockadin, I loved the guide . I also love having a plate armoured shield wielding instant healing caster .
It's all fun and games until a mage gets stabbed. Then it gets hilarious.
Well, I just started playing arenas (2v2 and 3v3) and this is a fantastic build for PvP healing with a enough dmg output to put the hassle on an opponent healer. HP generation is insane so 80% of heals are mana free. Beacon your partner then, if you heal him, you get healed via Protector of the Innocent which then also triggers a further beacon heal . Here's a link to the spec I use atm: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#schrdrdud ... :aMcRkoMzc Glyph of turn evil is an absolute must for those pesky warlock and DK pets. We're not setting the arenas on fire yet (I'm still in mostly BS crafted gear) but our rating is up to about 1200 after 3 weeks of casual arenas. I'm also finding BG's really fun in this spec -= have been practically unkillable by anything less than 3 horde most times.

I would change Eye for an Eye to longer range judgements. The Eye for an Eye damage output is so weak that there is not really any reason to have it.
