Rogue is such a general term, we 're not all assassins, some are thugs, some of us are just devious liars getting by.
What is your rogue's melee weapon of choice? What kind of rogue are you?

Well, Shadowedge was trained as an assassin by the Deathstalkers, but most often, he uses his skills to perfect the fine art of thievery. He can still take on jobs as an assassin, but he generally prefers taking the short path to the gold by simply stealing it.
His weapon of choice is the dagger he was carrying when he woke up and found himself as an undead. It only takes one hit to defeat an enemy if you hit the right spot. He also uses various tools and engineering gadgets to liberate anything of value from those who clearly are wealthy enough already.

Malonnie is an infiltrator, she seldom enters combat. If she do enter combat, she will stab you with a venom-coated stiletto and escape the scene without looking back; if the stab didn't do the job, the venom likely did. Optionally, her knee and feet are licenced as weapons. *nod*

For Marodamus this always has changed from time to time. He started out as a neglected noble's kid being taught by a thief to defend himself. Only having a small blade of four inches, if not shorter. Later when he moved from Stratholme to Stormwind with his father who adopted him(the thief), he used a pistol to scare the shopowners he used to rob. During that period he has fought many a times, with longswords and daggers, both one handed and dual wielding.
When he started assassinating for the Stormwind Assassins he prefered to use a dagger to kill. But he carried a wide variety of weapons; A dagger to assassinate. A few throwing knives, a sword to fight with. A shortblade for fighting in close quarters / taking on several at a time and a gauntlet fitted with plate. In later stages he merely used daggers and shortswords and occasionally a pistol.
In death he kept the pistol, he didn't touch a longsword untill some time due to some issue's. He was mostly using shortswords and his pistol.
Now, he's... ...yeah... Eh.. Firearms possessed. Sniper rifles, rifles, pistols. Name it and he probably fired it. And if it doesn't exist, soon it will.
looking back Maro has gone from a neglected noble's kid, to a lowly thief, to a burglar to an assassin and then to a sniper. ...Not bad

Pícaro is young and still trying to find his place in the world. He seems to be something of an assassin in the making, but at heart he’s just a curious traveller trying to throw off the shackles of a slightly staid and somewhat religious family life in Stormwind.
Game mechanics define him as a rogue, but perhaps he’s more of an honourable, if naïve, chancer; he certainly has a personal moral code that guides his actions, but it’s often overshadowed by the rambunctiousness of his tender years.
As for weapons, it’s daggers and throwing knives all the way.

Tani is an accomplished fighter, if it's incapacitate, she'll use her unarmmed skills (pressure point manipulation, throws, takedowns and chokes) and bind them with a wire hidden in her gauntlets.
For direct combat she'll use swords. She always carries a throwing weapon
