We accept Orcs, Trolls and Tauren readily; other races would have a much more difficult joining process. This is not to say that other races would not be accepted, only that they would have quite a struggle in
getting a place.

In orcish society, an orc without a Clan is known as "Clanless". Clan Bladewind accepts both Clanless, and members of other Clans, if they wanted to join. To join the Clan, you only have to contact Khakin, or an officer, and a meeting will be organised. In general, people who make characters to join the Clan simply approach and say that they have heard that the Clan is accepting new members, and that they wish to join. This is more than acceptable roleplay.

There is, however, a more complicated option in joining; through talking with Khakin oocly, you can organise and set up a character who was born a Bladewind. This is encouraged, because at the moment there are practically no characters who were born into the Clan, which is something i'd look to remedy. A few conversations regarding the backstory of the character would be needed, but in general i'd be happy to accept people who wanted to take this route.

When a character joins the Clan, they undergo a blood oath. This oath binds them to the Clan; and in terms of people within the Clan, they are considered to be a complete member. When they undergo the rite of Om'riggor, they are completely equal to someone born into the Clan.

Newblood - A Newblood is someone who has recently joined the Clan; they have undergone a blood ritual, and have been born anew within the Clan. They are not considered adults, regardless of their age, until they undergo a ritual known as the Om'riggor.

Clanmember - A Clanmember is someone who has undergone the rite of Om'riggor. They are considered an adult by the Clan. They were either born into the Clan, or accepted via the blood oath. They are able to own land, marry, enlist in the army or put themselves forward for Honour Guard selection.

Warrior - A Warrior is a fighter within the Clan; someone who has enlisted into the army. They follow the orders of the Lok'tra, and the Chieftain, and train frequently.

Honour Guard - The Honour Guard are Bladewind's elite; they undergo ruthless training to become some of the best warriors the Clan has to offer. They accompany the Chieftain on his ventures and expeditions. Becoming an Honour Guard is often the ambition of many of the Clan's fighters.

Lok'tra - "Lok'tra" literally means "A song about a battle", but in Bladewind the word means Lieutenant, Officer. There are always supposed to be two Lok'tra; a right hand, and a left hand. The right hand is the Warrior, and the left hand is the Shaman. The right hand usually also holds the title of Warleader.

Chieftain - The Chieftain of Clan Bladewind is the final authority on everything within the Clan. His decision is final; his word is law.

Village Hours -
From eight o clock onwards on a thursday, Bladewind gathers in the Clangrounds. At that time onwards you will always find roleplay at either Grol'dom Farm or Far Watch Post. Be it training, meetings, sparring, story-telling, you'll find something.

Keel -
Clan Bladewind usually attend the Keel night in full force. Here's a link!

The area that is considered the Clangrounds is located within the Northern Barrens. In Character, these locations were given to Clan Bladewind on the condition that they continue to protect the trade routes between Orgrimmar and the rest of the Barrens.

Clan Bladewind comes together weekly in Clanground Hours; here's event in August 2011. Village Hours is a relaxed get-together, though often training, Om'riggors or other activity is often taking place in conjunction with it.

Clan Bladewind has it's own history and legends, that are kept alive and are still affecting today. Here is a picture of forging of the new Bladewind sword, and testing of Megrha and Tharg that were competing of the title Lok'tra, the Warleader.
Some of the history can be read here.

Here you can see training of the those that wish someday become Bladewind Honor Guard. Training can be quite varying; here Chieftain Khakin is talking about the importance of self-control in a battle, and how battle-awareness can be similar to a meditation.

A lot of RP happens in Keel inn. Here you can see Kayra healing Megrha's hand and nose after unfortunate incident involving raging orc in Keel.

Clan Bladewind is once again getting up on it's feet. Whisper Megrha or Tharg or sent an In game ((OOC)) Letter detailing your interest.

Bladewind accepts every race except the Forsaken. Though Blood Elves and Goblins will have a harder time getting in. Warlocks and Death Knights are also prohibited from the clan.
